A 4 year drumming project working with vulnerable children in Kinship Care.
We turned ourselves into an Afro-Brazilian Street Band playing a fusion of Brazilian carnival & Orixa styles
We performed our evolving set of music to a packed Musselburgh Brunton Hall (500+ people) 3 years in a row as part of the National Youth Choir of Scotland events. Regular workshops led to several performances including the Scotland National Conference of Kinship Care and 4 Christmas Kinship Care parties.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience, understanding, commitment & skills in developing the young peoples confidence & musical ability. The young people really enjoyed working with you & gained so much out of their performances, we will all miss you.”
“Pete, you have done a great job working with the children and the fact that that they were keen to do a performance was testament to your encouragement and confidence building.
Very many thanks for all the effort in making the children feel special.”
